Pack 145 is a thriving, active Cub Scout pack in West Hartford, CT. We are charted by the Bugbee School PTO, but we are open to all boys and girls in grades K-5. We actively recruit at the Morley, Braeburn, and Charter Oak schools.
Like all Cub Scout packs, we divide out scouts into grade-specific units called 'dens'. Each scout is active in both their pack and den. The pack meets monthly (generally in the Bugbee cafeteria) and goes on at least one outing or overnight adventure each month. Likewise, each den will have a den-specific meeting each month, and goes on a den trip or outing most months. Over the course of a year, the Pack will:
- Hike up to Heubein Tower,
- Sleep overnight on a real battleship or a whaling ship,
- Make our own soda,
- Go bowling as a pack,
- Race Pinewood Derby cars,
- Go to a Yard Goats game,
- Go fishing as a pack,
- March in the Memorial Day parade, and
- End the year at our family campout.
- Go on camping trips of their own,
- Go on nature hikes,
- Visit a TV station, fire station, or police station,
- Design and play their own new sport,
- Put on a carnival for the rest of the pack,
